The Conservatoire for Dance and Drama is a higher education provider and has six member schools that deliver their undergraduate and postgraduate programs. These include Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, the National Centre for Circus Arts, Central School of Ballet, London Contemporary Dance School, Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance, and Northern School of Contemporary Dance.
They are committed to providing world-leading education and specialist vocational training within the performing arts. They train production professionals and performing artists including circus artists, dancers, actors, stage managers, choreographers, directors, and technical theatre practitioners. Types of Postgraduate Programs They Run
The Conservatoire for Dance and Drama provides a range of postgraduate programs. They cover disciplines such as arts learning and teaching, choreography, contemporary dance performance, dance and creative enterprise, dance research, drama directing, performance design, drama writing, and much more. Admissions Process
To apply for undergraduate courses at the Conservatoire for Dance and Drama, you must fill out their online application. If you are applying for a physical course such as contemporary dance, you will also need to book your audition date and time and pay a £20 application fee. You will be told what routine to learn. Then pay your £20 application fee. Postgraduate applicants should also apply online and will also have to pay the £20 application fee. If you are applying for a postgraduate course, you will likely be invited to interview if you have been successful. Accommodation
The Conservatoire for Dance and Drama does not have its own accommodation or halls of residence. However, each of their member schools will give students advice on suitable housing.
Scholarships and Financial Support
The Conservatoire for Dance and Drama has a number of scholarships and bursaries to assist students in paying their tuition fees. Some of these include income-assessed scholarships that award £2,000 per year for each year of study.
