About
Glasgow Caledonian University’s history dates back to 1875 when the Glasgow School of Cookery and the West End School of Cookery were established. Both schools merged to create the Glasgow and West of Scotland College of Domestic Science. They were then renamed in 1975 to Queen’s College, Glasgow. In 1971, Glasgow College of Technology was founded and eventually became Glasgow Polytechnic in 1991. It wasn’t until 1993 that they gained university status and became Glasgow Caledonian University. The university is one of Scotland’s biggest with about 20,000 students hailing from more than 100 countries.
The campus is located in Glasgow city center and provides students with state-of-the-art facilities and a wide range of crucial amenities.
