Graduate Salaries & Vacancies Increase
According to Adzuna, the job advertising website, the average advertised Graduate Salaries in the UK has risen to its highest levels in 6 years and currently stands at £26,076 last month. This is, however, lower than the average salary of all advertised jobs which sits at £34,867.
The data also shows that job vacancies for graduates is up 59 per cent since last year. However there is still a high degree of competition in the graduate job market with an average 35 graduates vying for one vacancy, according to the data.

Paul Lewis, chief customer officer at Adzuna commented,“This is the strongest jobs market we’ve seen for graduates post-pandemic. Plenty of sectors remain desperate for talent and looking to grads to fill those gaps. It’s a welcome piece of good news for the Class of 2022, who battled remote learning and pandemic pressures.”
Graduates from Bayes Business School, Oxford, Imperial College, Cambridge and University College London are listed as being the highest earners, with graduates likely to earn more than £40,000 after five years.
Adzuna named a n umber of large employers offering good graduate salaries including Aldi, paying a £44,000 starting salary; Lidl, paying a supply chain graduate a £37,000 starting salary; alongside attractive starting salaries from, KPMG, Sage EY, and Deloitte.
