Harper Adams University is a public university situated near the village of Edgmond in Shropshire. It was established in 1901 as Harper Adams College. They are the leading specialist university tackling the future development of our planet’s food production, animal sciences, processing, land management, engineering, sustainable business, and environmental management. Harper Adams University provides a range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and research degree programs as well as apprenticeships and short courses.
It has excellent facilities such as state-of-the-art teaching spaces and lecture theatres that accommodate tractors, farm-based classrooms, laboratories, the library, sports and leisure facilities, accommodation, their farm, and more. They have invested more than £20 million into their campus to ensure it has the best facilities for students. The campus is also close to an array of bars, cafés, and restaurants for students to socialise and meet new people.
Types of Postgraduate Programs They Run
Harper Adams University has a number of postgraduate programs to choose from. They span areas such as veterinary nursing, agricultural law, agricultural sciences and production systems, data science, agroecology, entomology, exotic animal practice, feline practice, forest protection, plant health, ruminant nutrition, rural estate and land management, and more. Some of the award classifications their postgraduate programs offer include Postgraduate Certificate (PGCert), Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip), Master of Science (MSc), Master of Research (MRes), and more. Some of their programs allow for part-time learning also.
Admissions Process
Those looking to study undergraduate courses at Harper Adams University must complete their application via the UCAS. Simply visit the UCAS website, choose up to five-course options and begin filling out your application. Once you have submitted your application, the admissions team will review it and get in touch with you. You can apply for postgraduate courses at Harper Adams University via their online system. Be sure to read the entry criteria of your chosen course and ensure that you are submitting ahead of the deadline. Once you have submitted your application, you will receive an email to confirm that the admissions team has received it. They will then review it and revert back to you.
Accommodation
Harper Adams University has its own university and most first-year students can expect to be guaranteed a room. Their cheapest accommodation costs £122 per week and this includes an en-suite bedroom with Wi-Fi access that is self-catered and cleaned for you. Their more expensive rooms cost £165.50 per week and they include catering, a cleaning service, and Wi-Fi in addition to an en-suite bedroom.
