About

Kirklees College is a successful and large further education college providing programs to the people of Kirklees and surrounding areas. The college has two campuses, one in Dewsbury and the other in Huddersfield as well as specialised vocational centres in Engineering and Process Manufacturing, Animal Care, and Construction. They offer a range of vocational and academic programs as well as incredible facilities and resources for students. The college also works with more than 1000 employees both nationally and in the region. Kirklees College was founded in 2008 as a result of a merger between Huddersfield Technical College and Dewsbury College. They are based in the heart of West Yorkshire which boasts many more amenities for students.

Types of Programs They Run

Kirklees College provides a variety of courses for 16–to 18-year-old college students, adult learners, and 19+ adult learners. They also offer apprenticeships. Their programs cover a range of different topics including animal care, childhood studies, business, art and design, IT, music, counselling, hospitality, media, health, social care, performing arts, science, tourism, sport, and more. Some of their courses allow for part-time learning also.
