LLM Insights- US Festival week takes place 25–29 September 2023.
A Master of Laws (LLM) is a postgraduate degree designed for law and non-law graduates to to enhance your academic legal knowledge. With the Master of Laws (General) you can enjoy maximum flexibility in your choice of modules and dissertation topic.
LLM study host Gareth Driscoll will be joined by experts from multiple Law schools in the USA to discuss all things LLM!
Over 100 American law schools offer LLM degrees, which cover a large range of subjects. It is not just the subject matter that differs amongst programs.
For instance: Some are open only to experienced lawyers, others only to those in public service (judges or government officials) and still others only to those intending to teach law.
Some programs are designed for American students, others for foreigners and still others for both.
Some allow you to take one or more courses in other parts of the university (such as the business school).
Research-track programs require that you write a major research paper by the end of the year, whereas course-track programs do not.
The sessions will all include a live Q&A, with a chance for viewers to engage with the university directly.
