About

London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine was established in 1899 and is a constituent institution of the prestigious University of London. They were initially known as the London School of Tropical Medicine and started out as part of the branch hospital of Seaman’s Hospital Society in the London Docklands. They began with just 11 students and in 1924, they gained their Royal Charter and current name. Now, they hold the accreditation of the Agency for Accreditation of Public Health Education in the European Region. The school also has 14 research centers and three faculties.

These faculties include the Faculty of Public Health & Policy, the Faculty of Epidemiology & Population Health, and the Faculty of Infectious & Tropical Diseases. The campus is located on Keppel Street in Bloomsbury and has state-of-the-art recreational, academic, and administrative facilities. Accommodation

The University has 35 rooms available in its three halls – College Hall, International Hall, and The Garden Halls. The room types vary from single shared bathroom bedrooms, single en-suite bedrooms, and double en-suite bedrooms. Each of the halls has a 24/7 reception and security on-site as well as Wi-Fi, laundry services, security, and bike storage. Your bedroom will contain a bed, wardrobe, desk, chair, and shelving.
