About
Loughborough University’s history can be traced back to 1909. They initially provided education only in technical topics, however, they have since grown, gaining their current name in 1996. They currently have 22 academic departments and schools and more than 100 research institutes, centers, and groups. The university campus is situated in the heart of Loughborough on 440 acres.
They have state-of-the-art facilities including hi-tech laboratories, a well-stocked library, accommodation, Students’ Union, conference center, IT network, and more. They have an arts center, a health center, bank, two theatres, shops, and restaurants. In addition, they have fantastic sports facilities nearby. They offer a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses across many different subject matter. They have over 17,000 students attending.
Postgraduate Programs They Run
Loughborough University has tonnes of postgraduate programs to choose from. These programs cover topics such as engineering, computer science, management, physics, pharmacy, architecture, technology, and more. Admissions Process
Those hoping to study full-time undergraduate courses have to apply through the UCAS website. Be sure to complete your application in its entirety and include the correct institutions and course codes. Accommodation
Loughborough University has student accommodation available for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. Some of the halls are catered while others are self-catered. You can expect to have a room with a bed, wardrobe, storage, desk and chair, and possibly a private, en-suite bathroom. Some rooms will not have an en-suite bathroom so you will have to share with other students. Other areas that are usually shared include living areas and the kitchen. The living area often has a TV or games, making it a great place to relax between classes and to make new friends and socialise. Laundry services are available on-site and you will have access to Wi-Fi. All necessary amenities are in close proximity also.
