About

Newcastle University’s history can be traced back to the emergence of the School of Medicine and Surgery in 1834 and Armstrong College in 1871. In 1937, both of these schools were combined to create King’s College. The college then gained university status and was renamed the University of Newcastle in 1963. Over half the degrees they offer are accredited by prestigious organisations such as EFMD Quality Improvement System (EQUIS), Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AASCB), and Association of MBAs (AMBA).

Newcastle University has a total of three faculties which include the Faculty of Medical Sciences, Faculty of Science, Agriculture, and Engineering, and Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities. The university’s campus is situated in the heart of Newcastle and is spread across 50 acres. Accommodation

Therefore, you can expect the journey to the campus to only be a short walk or bus ride. The types of properties and rooms vary as do the rent prices. Some rooms are standard while others include a private en-suite bathroom with a larger bed. You can expect your room to have at the minimum a bed, wardrobe, storage, a desk, and a chair.
