About
Nottingham Trent University dates back to 1843 when the Nottingham Government School of Design was established. This design school remains a part of the university and it officially gained university status in 1992. It is a public research university and the 13th largest in the UK. They have eight academic schools, all of which are accredited by their relevant professional bodies and organisations. The university has four campuses which are scattered across Nottingham – City Campus, Clifton Campus, Brackenhurst Campus, and Creative Quarter Campus.
Each of the campuses offers fantastic facilities and high-quality teaching staff. Their schools include Nottingham Law School, School of Architecture, Nottingham Business School, Design and the Built Environment, School of Art and Design, the Centre of Broadcasting and Journalism, and School of Social Sciences. In addition, the School of Arts and Humanities, School of Science and Technology, and the School of Animal, Rural, and Environmental Sciences.

Accommodation
Nottingham Trent University has a number of accommodation options available from their own halls of residence to shared houses and private halls. Whatever your requirements and needs, there is an accommodation option to suit you while you complete your studies. Nottingham Trent University has accommodation available at each of its campuses.
Prices vary but you can expect to be located not too far from the campus you are studying at. Usually, accommodation is no more than a 15-minute walk away. Most of the time, you will be lucky to have a bedroom with an en-suite bathroom but some properties do have shared facilities. All rooms contain a bed, wardrobe, and study area which includes a desk, chair, shelves, and storage.
You will have access to a shared common room area where you can watch TV and socialise with friends. Kitchens are also usually shared and come with a fridge, oven, microwave, and dining area. Laundry facilities are also available on-site in addition to other amenities such as bike storage, 24/7 security, cleaning provided, and parking. Scholarships and Financial Support
Nottingham Trent University has several scholarships and bursaries to assist students in paying their tuition fees. Some of these bursaries include the NTU Estranged Student Bursary, NTU Care Leavers and Foyer Resident Bursary, and the NTU Nursing, Teacher Training, and Social Work bursary. They also have scholarships available for international students as well as those who excel in sport or music. Additionally, they have The Janno Media Award which was created to support final year broadcast journalism students.
