About

The Royal College of Art began in 1837 as the Government School of Design. It received its Royal Charter in 1967 and gained university status. Today, the Royal College of Art continues to be the world’s most influential postgraduate institution for art and design. They aim to advance learning, knowledge, and professional competence especially in the areas of fine arts, in the principles and practice of design and art, and in regard to industrial and commercial processes and social developments. Their research addresses major societal challenges which they are working to help change. They have sites in Battersea, Kensington, and White City and all sites have their own unique character.  Their campus has excellent sports facilities and a fantastic students’ union which organises lots of events and opportunities to meet new people and make friends. In addition to their postgraduate programs, they provide a number of short courses and online programs.
