About 

University College London was founded in 1826 in the heart of London. It is a leading multidisciplinary university, with more than 42,000 students from 150 different countries and 13,000 staff members. It is considered the third-largest university and was among the first institution in London that gives admissions to students irrespective of their background religion. It was also the first university to admit women. Its main campus is in Bloomsbury in central London but it has other campuses in Doha, Qatar and East London.  

The university has 11 faculties including Built Environment, Arts and Humanities, Brain Sciences, Institute of Education, Life Sciences, Law, Mathematical and Physical Sciences, Engineering Sciences, Population Health Sciences, Medical Sciences and Social and Historical Sciences. The college provides 440 undergraduate programs and 675 postgraduate programs.  

Postgraduate Programs They Run 

University College London has 675 postgraduate programs to choose from spanning topics such as archaeology, anthropology, education, management, medicine and more. Some of the postgraduate awards they offer include Masters of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Science (MSc), Master of Art (MA), Postgraduate Certificate (PGCert) and Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip). Courses can be completed full-time or part-time and there is some flexible learning options including distance learning.  

Admissions Process 

Undergraduates can apply via UCAS by filling out and submitting the online form. You will hear back from the university directly once you have submitted your application. Postgraduate students can apply directly on the course page on the website. Before you apply, be sure to check you meet all the entry requirements. International students can apply for undergraduate courses via UCAS and postgraduate programmes through the website.  

Accommodation 

University College London provides various student accommodation options in London. This includes around 6000 beds across 26 different halls. This means you can find the perfect accommodation to suit your needs and budget. There is accommodation available for undergraduates, postgraduates and families. A lot of the accommodation is catered and single occupancy. However, there are also self-catering and single occupancy options. Most of the accommodation is a short walk or bus ride from the campus. Be sure to check the university website to find out which accommodation would suit you best and to apply.  

Scholarships and Financial Support 

There are funding and scholarship opportunities available for undergraduate and postgraduate students at University College London. There are government loans as well as a range of bursaries. Some of these bursaries include the UCL Undergraduate Bursary which is non repayable and there for students with a household income below £42,875. There is also the Estranged Student Bursary which awards £1000 per year for UK undergraduate students who can demonstrate they meet the definition of estrangement from their family. Care Leaver bursaries are also available.
