About
Founded in 1209, University of Cambridge is a public research university in Cambridge, United Kingdom. It is the world’s fourth oldest university and the second-oldest university in the English-speaking world. It’s formed from a range of institutions that include over 100 academic departments and 31 colleges organised into six schools. These schools are Biological Sciences, Clinical Medicine, Physical Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities and Technology.
They have more than 24,000 students attending their campus and 11,528 staff members across academic, technical and secretarial roles. In 2018, they had over 298,000 living alumni across the globe. The university sees itself as a global university and has an array of museums, collections, sports facilities and a library. This means the societies here organise lots of fun events for the students.

Admissions Process
Full-time undergraduate students can apply for courses at University of Cambridge by completing and submitting an online UCAS application form. International students can apply in the same way. Once submitted, you will hear back from the university whether they would like to offer you a place. Postgraduate students can apply by vising the Course Directory on the University of Cambridge website and selecting the course they wish to apply for. There will be an Apply Now button on the page which you can click to start your application. After you have sent your application, University of Cambridge will get in touch with you regarding your application’s status.
Accommodation
University of Cambridge has an accommodation service which will help you in finding suitable accommodation while you complete your studies. All you have to do is register with their accommodation service and they will help you to find a suitable home. The University accommodation has 1424 properties available to students and staff. These properties include self-contained flats and small houses with 1 to 3 bedrooms.
Most of them are situated in the city of Cambridge and Madingley. Properties are maintained to high-standards and most of them are furnished. They include goods such as cookers, beds, table, chairs and refrigerators. However, they do not contain small electricals such as toasters, kettles, microwaves or other items such as cutlery or crockery. The properties are usually intended for longer lets such as a minimum of 12 months. The prices start from £890 per month excluding bills.
Scholarships and Financial Support
University of Cambridge offers a number of sources of financial support to help you pay towards your fees, including university support, college awards and government loans. Cambridge has a bursary scheme as well as various grants you may be eligible for. They also have a couple of widening participation scholarships. These include the Stormzy Scholarship and Formula 1 Scholarship.
