The University of Gloucestershire has three campuses and is based in Gloucestershire. They are a public university that has two locations. The university has two campuses in Cheltenham and one in Gloucester situated in Francis Close Hall, Oxstalls, and The Park. They officially gained university status in 2001 but their history can be traced back to the 19th century.

The university has 8 schools – School of Business and Technology, School of Art and Design, School of Natural and Social Sciences, School of Liberal and Performing Arts, School of Sport and Exercise, School of Media, School of Health and Social Care, and School of Education. They provide more than 80 undergraduate degree programs and over 57 postgraduate programs in addition to their PhD degrees.

Accommodation

The University of Gloucestershire has accommodation available for all its students. They have approximately 1,900 self-catered rooms available on or close to their campus. All of them are close to the centre of Gloucester or Cheltenham and are served by the local university bus service. You can expect to be close to all necessary amenities, nightlife, and entertainment. Room types vary greatly from standard or en-suite bedrooms to self-contained studios, shared townhouses, and more. Your room will contain a bed, desk, chair, shelves, wardrobe, and storage. You may have a private en-suite bathroom. If you do not, you will have to share a bathroom and shower facility with other students. Other shared facilities include the kitchen and living room.
