They have a wide range of state of art learning facilities, in particular, their mock law court which was voted one of the 10 most impressive law school buildings across the globe. The University of Hertfordshire students’ union also has over 100 societies for you to get involved in from LGBT to salsa dancing and baking.

Admissions Process 

UK based students applying to full-time undergraduate courses at University of Hertfordshire should apply by submitting an online application via UCAS. Once submitted, the university will be in touch with you to let you know if they are offering you a place on the course. Part-time students and postgraduate students can apply directly on the university’s website by clicking the ‘apply now’ button on the web page of the chosen course. International students can also apply via UCAS by submitting an application form. However, they need to ensure they are including the correct institution and course codes and that they meet the entry requirements.  

Accommodation 

University of Hertfordshire provides accommodation options for students with 24/7 support and with everything in close reach: sports facilities, libraries, classrooms, social areas and more. All of the rooms have fast Wi-Fi, TV aerial socket, ethernet outlet, a desk with storage, a chair, lamp and a wardrobe. Twin, single and townhouse rooms are available as well as single en suite rooms, standard en suite rooms, enhanced rooms and studios. The twin rooms have 2 single beds in them with storage, a shared en-suite with a toilet, shower and sink. The room is roughly 25m² and two study areas and wardrobes are provided. A single room is 1 double 4ft bed. It has an ottoman unit with seating and storage drawers and a washbasin with a sink. The room is roughly 13.3m² 

The townhouse option is 1 4ft double bed with storage and a shared bathroom. The room is approximately 10m².  Standard en suite rooms come with a single bed with storage and an en-suite with a toilet, sink and shower. These rooms are around 12m². Enhanced rooms contain a 4ft bed with storage and an en-suite with a toilet, sink and shower. The room is around 14.5m ². Studios are self-contained rooms and come with a 4ft bed with storage, an en-suite with a toilet, sink and shower, a fridge/freezer, 2 hobs and a sink set into worktop, an eating area with a table and 2 chairs. The room is roughly 16.5m². You can apply for accommodation at University of Hertfordshire on their website.  

Scholarships and Financial Support 

University of Hertfordshire offers a number of non-repayable scholarships and bursaries to excelling students. Some of the available scholarships for undergraduate courses include the Jarvis Centenary Scholarship which has a value of $6,000. Another undergraduate scholarship they offer is the University of Hertfordshire Sport Scholarship Scheme which provides some support to talented athletes studying here. They also have some scholarships available for postgraduate courses including the University of Hertfordshire Graduate Scholarship which offers a 20% fee discount for alumni of the college. There are also individual scholarships and bursaries for various areas of study such as physics, education, social work and more.
