About

The University of St Andrews was founded between 1410 and 1413 and was one of the earliest formed universities in the world. They are also the first university in Scotland to provide a world-class educational experience. The university sits in the rural area of Fife in Scotland and has a range of facilities including student residences, libraries, and more. In addition, the university has a number of galleries and museums that display many of the university’s artifacts.

They also have 180 different student societies which cover a wide range of areas including sport, debate, theatre, music, and more. The University has a total of three colleges – St Mary’s College, United College, and St Leonard’s Postgraduate College. They have four faculties that offer a wide range of degree programs across subject matter such as science, medicine, history, art, management, creative writing, language, music, and more.

You will then be brought to an online application form which you can fill out. If you are applying for part-time courses, you can make your application in the same way. The university will then review your application and revert back to you.

Accommodation

The University of St Andrews has a wide range of student accommodation options in its halls of residence. From catered options and self-catered options, you can find accommodation that suits your own individual needs. Some rooms have private en-suite bathrooms while others do not which means you will have to share a bathroom and shower facility with other students. At the minimum, your bedroom will contain a bed, mattress and mattress protector, shelving, a wardrobe, and drawer unit, a desk and chair, a desk lamp and bulb, and a waste bin and paper bin.

Kitchen and living spaces are shared and are equipped with an oven, electric cooker with a hob, kettle, fridge and freezer, iron and ironing board, clothes airer, pots and pans, cutlery tray, sink tidy, dustpan, mop, broom, bucket and vacuum cleaner, recycling bins and a flip-top bin. Living areas are also shared. You will be close to the campus, laundry facilities, and all other necessary amenities and facilities.
