The University of Strathclyde has been delivering quality education to students for over 200 years. They have around 23,000 students from over 100 countries. The university is based in Scotland and was recognised as the Scotland University of the Year in 2020 in The Times and the Sunday Times Good University Guide 2020.  

The University of Strathclyde provides a range of postgraduate and undergraduate programs across engineering, science, business, and humanities. They are very active in sports and extracurricular activities also, having a badminton and squash court, fitness studio, dance studio, swimming pool, and two sports halls on their campus. They are also partnered with a number of leading Indian institutions.  

Postgraduate Programs They Run 

The University of Strathclyde provides several postgraduate programs which cover subjects such as science, mathematics, design, civil engineering, architecture, social work, health and psychology, humanities, law, and more. Courses can be completed on a part-time or full-time basis. Some of the awards you can achieve from their postgraduate programs include Master of Science (MSc), Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip), Postgraduate Certificate (PGCert), and more.  

Admissions Process 

All applications to undergraduate courses at the University of Strathclyde should be made through the UCAS. The application costs £20 for one course and £26 for two to five courses. Simply visit www.UCAS.com and register your details. Then, fill out your application form. Ensure you include the correct institution and course codes when making your application. The admissions team will then review your application and get back to you with their decision. International students can apply in the same way. Postgraduate and part-time applicants can apply directly online on the University of Strathclyde website. You will find an application form at the bottom of each course page. Once sent, the university will review it and get back to you.  

Accommodation 

The University of Strathclyde offers a range of accommodation options. These include single rooms with en-suites and single rooms with shared washrooms. Prices vary depending on whether you choose a room with an en-suite or one without one. All the halls are in close proximity to the campus, usually a short walk away. You can expect to be nearby some of the best restaurants and bars in Scotland and be nearby shops to get your weekly groceries. In your room, you will have a bed, bedside table, wardrobe, and a desk area with a chair and lamp. You will also have under-bed storage and wall shelves as well as wall sockets. The shared kitchens will include a microwave, fridge, sink, kettle, toaster, bin as well as cleaning equipment. Some may also have a TV. You will be close to laundrettes and have parking on-site. In addition, you can expect to have 24-hour security and on-campus recycling. You can book your accommodation on the University of Strathclyde website.  

Scholarships and Financial Support 

The University of Strathclyde offers a range of scholarships for undergraduate, postgraduate, and international students. Some of these scholarships include the STAR Scholarship which awards up to £1,250, the Access Bursary, the EU Transition Scholarship, the Digital Inclusion Small Grant, and more.
