About

Established in 2007, the University of the West of Scotland was formed after the merger of Bell College, Hamilton with the University of Paisley. The university is situated in Scotland and has four campuses. These are located in the following towns – Paisley, Dumfries, Ayr, and Lanarkshire. They also have a campus in London. The London campus is in the process of being relocated.

Admissions Process

All prospective EU and UK full-time undergraduate students should apply through the UCAS if they are not applying through a partner or agent. You can do this by visiting the UCAS website and registering. Then, once you have registered, you will be able to apply for your chosen course(s). Be sure to fill out the application in its entirety and that you have listed the correct institution and course codes. You can easily find these on the University of the West of Scotland website. With the UCAS application, you can save your progress and come back at any time.

Once you have sent off your application, you will hear back from the university in the coming weeks. Postgraduate candidates can apply directly through the University of the West of Scotland’s online application system. You will need a number of things to accompany your application. These include a copy of your academic transcript, your degree certificate, an English language proficiency test certificate (if this is not your native language), and references. Once you have filled out and sent off your application, the university will contact you and let you know whether they would like to offer you a place.
